I’m going to be starting #realtalktuesday on the blog. A place where we can talk about real issues and connect more. I love sharing beauty, health and wellness tips with you guys. You know this by now. The thing is, being healthy isn’t just about a healthy body and what you eat. It really all starts with your mental state. Mental health is something that more and more people are talking openly about and I think that is really important. So often we experience things and feel as though we are alone and that nobody else has to deal with these things but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

THERE'S JUST SOMETHING ABOUT NATURE...

That does it for me. The minute I step onto grass, surrounded by trees with preferably a lake nearby, I am instantly recharged. The smells in the air, the sun on my face (covered in sunscreen of course!) The sound of birds chirping (doves cooing) and the wind rustling through the leaves. Theres nothing like it for me. When I was a kid, I spent my summers in the country at a sleep away summer camp. Those were the best memories of my childhood. It was there that I discovered my love for acting by being in the plays and it was there where I discovered how important being outside in nature was for me. We played sports all summer long and spent the entire summer outdoors in nature. From volleyball to tennis to basketball, baseball and soccer. We did every water activity you can possibly do on a lake from waterskiing to sailing, wind surfing and canoeing. These were the happiest years of my childhood. They were when I was most at peace. Maybe that's why when I step out into a location like this one here, I am filled with so much gratitude, peace and just happy feelings.  What type of locations make you feel happy? 5 WAYS TO MAKE FITNESS FUN!

It's finally here! I have been promising to show you guys ways to have fun with fitness that doesn't have to feel like hard work or get boring. You guys know how big a role fitness plays in my life. I wanted to share some ways you guys can get or stay fit and not get bored. For this first workout, I met my beautiful friend Jen Lillie for a hike. Hiking is a great way to catch up with friends, get out in nature and burn calories at the same time! Before we started, we did some high intensity training (hiit training) using the elements we had around us. Needless to say, we worked hard, laughed a lot and got a great workout in!
