DRINK YOUR GREENS!

Happy Monday babes! I can't tell you how often I hear people say it is so hard to eat vegetables because they just don't like them. I mean I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to trade their kale salad for some pizza and french fries. We all know if we want to live a long, healthy life with a lot of energy and feel good, that is just not a smart choice. Not to mention, if you want clear glowing skin then you need clean food that will provide that. While it is always better to actually chew your veggies because there is an enzyme in there that is only released by actually chewing, drinking them is the perfect alternative. You are also getting about three times the amount of greens by drinking them than you would by simply eating them. So both are beneficial. I personally prefer the green juices that have some fruit like apple or pear in them so that it is a little sweeter but any variation will do. 

I tend to get mine from Pressed Juicery or Kreation juice but you can easily make your own green smoothie at home in a blender. Here is all you need:

2 cups of spinach or kale and some celery

2 cups of liquid (water, almond milk or coconut water)

some fruit (I personally like green apple, pear and half a banana)

optional: You can also add ginger, lemon or even some cinnamon if you like!

Blend your greens with the liquid first,, then add the fruit and blend again. So simple! Play around with this and find the blend you like best! Some prefer creamier options with banana, almond milk and cinnamon, others prefer more of the juice sticking with water as a base and just greens and fruit with lower sugar.

#30DAYSTILSUMMER FITNESS CHALLENGE!

Summer is right around the corner which means it's bikini season already! (WTF) I partnered with my friend Rob Valetta to bring you guys a 30 Days till summer challenge so we can all start getting in shape together. Sometimes adding in workouts and certain diets is super challenging with our busy schedules and usual habits. They say that it takes 21 days to form a new habit so we thought why not do 1 or 2 things ever day for the next 30 towards our health and wellness?
