We all know the incredible things coconut oil does and the million ways we can use it... Ingesting it is great for you (put some in tea if you have a sore throat!) you can put it in your hair and even use it as a moisturizer on your body and face. There are so many things this all natural oil does but I just recently discovered my favorite one of all... eye makeup remover!! Guys this even gets off waterproof mascara and eye liner! My sister in law Cherise won't use anything that isn't natural. She's gorgeous and healthy and has incredible tips on anything all natural and what the body needs. I recently downloaded this app called "Think Dirty" no.. not that kind of dirty (to all my friends disapointment). It's an app that scans your household products, mainly in the bathroom and lets you know how toxic they are. I learned that my eye makeup remover was extremely toxic and that kind of worried me. I do pick my poisons but if I can find something less expensive, all natural AND better?! I've won. I just had to share it with you guys. I also used Egyptian Magic which has other things in it and it works amazing! Plus a jar will last you a really long time!

  • Make sure to wash your hands before use.
  • Dip your clean fingers in the jar and rub a small amount on your eyes.
  • Gently message for a few seconds (it's also so moisturizing for the delicate under eye area!)
  • Take a cotton round or swab (wet or dry) and gently wipe away.
  • Wet the cotton round and wipe again.

Try this in place of your regular eye makeup remover and let me know what you think! XOXO

[show_lookbook_widget id="168927"]I have never been big on moisturizing. As someone who has combination/acne prone skin, a moisturizer was the last thing I thought I needed. A few months ago I felt like my skin was looking a little dull, so my friends over at Space NK recommended I try Goldfaden Md Vital Boost Moisturizer. They gave me a few samples and swore it wouldn't make me break out. The truth is that balancing is the key to anything. If you over dry your skin with acne products, your skin will compensate by over producing oil which in turn... you guessed it, makes you break out. It has taken me YEARS to find the right way to balance my skin but I am so happy I finally have. Ok, now onto the gold.. This line is so clean!!! I can't tell you how hard it is to find all natural products that do what they promise. The truth is, sometimes you need the chemicals to achieve desired results. In this case, you have the strength of a dermatologist brand without all the chemicals and harsh ingredients.

Goldfaden Md has been developed by a dermatologist and  the whole line is free of  Parabens, Chemicals, Mineral oil, Alcohol & Gluten. It is all natural & organic. The Vital Boost moisturizer is great for all skin types. It evens out skin tone, helps to brighten, fade dark spots, shrink pores and just give you a beautiful glow. It feels so good when it goes on your face. It absorbs right into your skin and leaves no residue. Vital Boost moisturizer even helps your make up go on smoother. I am a forever fan!

I just got a bunch of other samples from the line and so far, this is what I can say. [show_lookbook_widget id="168931"]

The Hands to Heart hand moisturizer is incredible. It has a nice light smell and feels AMAZING on your hands. It absorbs right in and makes them more plump and bright. The only negative to this cream is that it's $38 dollars and I'm not sure I can justify that for a hand cream. It does have really high quality ingredients like retinol so it really depends on how important preserving your hands is to you. Everyone has their area of concerns. I do also like the fact that for every purchase they donate money to the American Heart Association. [show_lookbook_widget id="168935"] Needle-less Line Smoothing Concentrate claims to do what Botox does without putting toxins in your body. It says that it makes the muscles in your face lazy by using 100% pure Hyaluronic Acid and advanced anti-aging hexapeptides which work to plump, tighten and smooth away the appearance of fine lines and deep creases. I can't really be an authority on this one as I have never done Botox but here is what I can say, I tried a little bit under my eyes where natural smile lines occur and it did feel tighter and looked brighter. I am a firm believer in preventative. It is a great idea to take care of your skin and do your best to prevent aging. It seems easier than trying to reverse it. [show_lookbook_widget id="168939"] Doctor's scrub advanced This scrub is meant to gently exfoliate dead skin from your complexion. It uses 100% pure ruby crystals to slough off excess cells. Antioxidant-rich red tea extract dissolves free radicals while seaweed extract soothes redness and irritation. Ideal for oily or combination skin. It is amazing and does everything it promises to, but be careful! It is very strong so you need a TEENY amount and so little pressure when exfoliating. When you first use it, scrub for 20 seconds and work your way up to longer. My skin is very sensitive and I did not know this would be as strong as it was. It is as strong as doing microdermabrasion, no joke. DO NOT USE THIS WITH YOUR CLARISONIC BRUSH!! Take a day off of Clarisonic when using this please!

Honey and Lemon - ingredients for the face mask *This article was originally posted on the amazing beauty site by Sarah Howard

Actress Kelly Kruger goes on the hunt for the face mask of all face masks: one that will lighten, tighten and brighten – and leaves the beauty counter empty handed. Yet, from her refrigerator, she concocts the perfect facial remedy. Feast your eyes – and your face – on this: a natural, homemade face mask that will soothe, smooth, heal and even out skin tone for under $7 dollars! And the genius of DIY beauty products is that they can be made with contents that you likely have in your kitchen.

Explains Kelly: “When I think of lemon and honey together, the first thing that comes to mind is a soothing tea for a sore throat. I never would have thought that these 2 ingredients would be the answer to all of my beauty prayers. I have really sensitive, acne-prone skin and I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find the right creams and serums to help with my problem. Until a really sweet lady at a Neiman Marcus counter (where I was yet again going to spend more money on stuff that probably wouldn’t work) gave me this amazing advice:

Honey Jar

Honey is a natural antibacterial and anti-infammatory. It absorbs impurities from the pores and the skin. Ancient beauties used honey and milk on their skin regularly to keep their complexion looking young, radiant and smooth. You can use honey as a wash, toner or mask. And you can mix it with so many other ingredients depending on your needs (apples, pumpkin, papaya. yogurt). It’s quite versatile.

Lemon plate

Lemon brightens and exfoliates. It’s great for acne prone skin, age and sun spots or uneven skin tone. It is also a natural source of vitamin C and rich in alpha hydroxy acids.

Here’s how to make the DIY Honey/ Lemon Mask: Squeeze 1/2 a lemon (organic is always better) into a bowl, add 2 tbsp of honey (0rganic, raw, natural ). Mix it with a spoon until it’s a liquid consistency. Apply it all over a clean face avoiding eye area. *Also make sure that your hair is pulled back away from your face as the mask is rather sticky! Leave on for 15-20 min and rinse off. If you’re feeling really adventurous, try and sleep with it on.”

Let me know if you try it and how it works!
