B&BPart three to my Amsterdam adventure is B&B fashion! My character on the show is Eva, the Forrester international Publicist. My first appearance on the show was in Paris during the summer time so Glenda Maddox (Emmy Award winning costume designer for the show and one of my favorite stylists) and I decided that a classy, floral  Dolce & Gabbana dress would be perfect.

For the Amsterdam shoot, We wanted to make "Eva" a little edgier. The colder weather and the fact that it is fall leant itself to the look perfectly. For one of my looks, we paired a Helmut Lang sheer blouse (for a pop of color) with this leather jacket, pencil skirt and Miu Miu boots. These are one of my favorite pairs of boots. They aren't quite ankle boots yet aren't knee high either.

In the photo below I swapped out my Miu Miu heeled boots for my Steve Madden boots. I have had these for 4 years now and like a fine wine, they just keep getting better with age.

By the way, how cute is Kim Matula's (Center, next to Darin) Elizabeth and James plaid jacket? (You know how much I love plaid!)

AMSTERDAM PART TWO! (Shopping, Anne Frank House & Press)

We spent a total of four days in Amsterdam. In our spare time, we tried to take in as much as we could. One morning, Kim Matula, Heather Tom and I went to explore The Nine Streets, which is very close to Dam Square and has some of the best shopping. Heather was an awesome tour guide and took us to some of the best little boutiques.

The next day, Darin and I had the morning off so we went to The Anne Frank house.

Outside the Anne Frank House

The Anne Frank House was very emotional for me as it would be for anyone. My grandmother was a holocaust survivor so I was deeply affected walking through it. It is definitely something I recommend making a point to see if you ever find yourself in Amsterdam. We didn't have time to see the Van Gogh or Rembrandt House museums but I hear they are a must see if you are there.

After that, I took him back to The Nine Streets (obviously!) and we stumbled upon the Karl Lagerfeld store on Hartenstraat.

We then had to hurry back for an afternoon of press. I had thrown on this outfit in the morning with my Steve Madden boots to run around in, and swapped them out for my Rag & Bones for photos. kellynew1

Hotel L'Europe

I was so lucky to have had the opportunity to go to Amsterdam to film a few episodes of The Bold & The Beautiful. There is so much I want to say about this incredibly beautiful city, but let's start with the hotel.

Awesome photobomb by the doorman. Loved that guy.

Hotel De L'Europe is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. It is by far the nicest hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel itself is beautiful and really clean (most important for me) but I really feel like the staff and the way we were treated and taken care of made it that much more special. Lisette de Koning made our stay extra special and went above and beyond to make sure every member of our group was taken care of. And there were a lot of us!

The room itself was very big, not just for European standards. It was beautiful. We had a spectacular view of the canals from our room. The bed was RIDICULOUSLY comfortable and that is very important to me as I generally have a really hard time sleeping.

They have turn down service every night which is expected but this isn't just your regular turndown service. They literally re- clean your bathroom (I am a mess with all my products!) and they make sure you have everything you can possibly need. The staff leaves a different quote on your bed every night by a famous figure who has previously stayed there.

Quote by Sharon Stone

The bathrooms are huge and have floor to ceiling marble which also gives you the option to heat the floors. There is a nice size tub along with a built in pillow and every type of amenity you could need.

The room is stacked with a mini bar. My favorite part was the paprika flavored Pringles. I couldn't stop eating them. The food at the hotel was amazing. They make one of the best caesar salads I have ever had. I don't eat red meat but I had fish, chicken, Dutch cheeses, homemade soups and all were delicious. Room service comes very quickly and everyone is just such a delight to deal with.

The hotel bar Freddy's is really fun to lounge in. They also have a cigar bar that is attached in a separate room. The people are all very classy and the drinks are great.

Their spa is one of the best. Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel and spa. They give great mani/pedi's, massages, you name it.

All in all there isn't one negative thing I can say about this place. Should you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, Hotel De L'Europe is the place to stay. Just ask for Lisette and tell her I sent you. She's probably still sleeping after all the running around she was doing for us, but I'm sure she's recovering...

With love,

Kelly XO
