We couldn't have been more thrilled to support the Putting For Pups first annual gala to raise money and awareness about the dog meat trade and adoption. We met some incredible people and even more incredible animals with inspirational stories (See my Instagram for Naki'o The Bionic Dogs amazing story!) I really believe it is our responsibility to be the voice for the voiceless and try to make a big difference. Just think about yours or your neighbors golden retriever lets say, if someone treated you badly that dog wouldn't stand for it! It might not fight for you since that isn't that breeds nature but it sure would make up for it by drowning you in kisses or distracting you in a positive way and somehow making you feel good. I can honestly tell you this is so true with my dogs. We have to give back and I really try to any way I can. This could mean sharing a post and raising awareness about the horrors of the Yulin dog meat festival and signing petitions to end it or donating some dog treats or a blanket to a rescue. There isn't a dog out there that wouldn't do it for you!

For the event I chose to wear this blue BCBG cocktail dress. I can always count on BCBG for the perfect dress that is anything but basic.  This particular line happens to fit my body type perfectly and I never need to alter the dresses which I get very excited about. I paired this dress with my Jimmy Choo Lang sandals and a gunmetal clutch (similar here). My makeup artist Britany Spyksma and I wanted to play with a little blue on my eyes so she went with a blue gel liner and I really felt like it made my eyes pop. For my hair, I went with my usual beachy waves and I completed my look with a pretty handsome accessory:)
